【摘要】

Vehicle industry is trending to electrification, while electricity is produced through more green resources of such as wind and solar. It is clear that light-duty vehicles have gained more trending advantages with battery-based electrification but the medium- and heavy-duty (MHD) commercial vehicles have self-manifested with significant road-block challenges for electrification. This paper uses the public data regarding the Class 8 e-tractors to make a relatively deep dive into those problems from the analytic perspectives. This parametric analysis will go to check the capacity and cost of electric infrastructure, applicable batteries, and operations of battery-based semi e-tractors. Finally, observations will be briefed according to the elaborated analytic cases studied in this paper.
