Effects of Negative Temperature Gradient on Reaction Wave

【摘要】
Effects of negative temperature gradient on reaction wave propagation mode of H2/air mixture were numerically investigated using one-dimensional numerical simulations,with addressing mode transition mechanism.It is found that when reaction wave propagates along negative temperature gradient,both supersonic deflagrationto-detonation and detonation-to-subsonic deflagration transitions can be observed. It shows that supersonic deflagration propagation is controlled by sequential auto-ignition. When its propagation speed is below local Chapman-Jouguet detonation speed,a mode transition from supersonic deflagration to detonation occurs. Moreover,a mode transition from detonation to subsonic deflagration is also observed within lower temperature ranges. The evolution of Zel’dovich(ZND) structure and Rankine-Hugoniot curve shows that the reactivity of shocked mixture behind precursor pressure wave plays an important role in sustaining detonation propagation.
